Yep I just downloaded and tried this new update. Man if you thought sasquatch was fast before, wait 'til you use it now. It dropped just over twenty seconds on my render which usually took about 2 minutes to finish. There also some other updates such as support for wieghts, new lighting schemes, ability to recieve caustics. This is an update that is definitely worth having. If you have not gotten sasquatch yet, get it. I may be 100 bucks more but it is well worth it.

i havent tested it yet it was definetly cool of them to give it as a free upgrade though worley treats customers great unlike (right hemisphere:( )

You know what. I downloaded the the Right hemisphere Lightwave edition demo and loaded it while I had my Deep Paint 3D with texture weapons. The plugin translates the subdivided polygons for Deep Paint 3D with Textureweapons. There is really no need for me to get the Lightwave edition now as somehow the Lightwave transfer plugin that came with Deep Paint 3D Lightwave Edition Demo allows me to see nurbs in my regular version of Deep Paint 3D with Texture weapons. It is killer too!!!! I am currently working on textures for my new character. She has everything except textures. She even has hair.

what about the time limit ?

I already own Deep Paint 3D with Texture weapons. The plugin for the Lightwave edition seems to allow me to use subdivided surfaces in the version that I already have.

but wont it expire the plug in in 30 days with the demo of the lw version ?

Tephladon posted Tue, 13 November 2001 at 8:21 PM

No, only the program expires. The plugin for the lightwave demo version had to be updated as there were issues with the original demo release so you downloaded the new plugin separately. The new plugin has no expiration. I am not sure if RH wanted it this way to please current users or what but it does work if you currently have DP3DTW.
