I posted this question before, but didn't get any response so I thought I'd give it another try. Can someone tell me how to get ranged falloff to work? In the Gavenda and Kitchens book it says that holding down the alt key and dragging in the light preview window will bring up a numerical readout. The readout should be at zero(as opposed to the readout for the light intensity which already has a value.), and dragging it will increment it up or down. Well not for me it dosen't. Yes, I have ranged falloff selected before I do my dragging, but no luck. The only thing that is being altered when I drag is the light intensity and NOT the falloff value. Do I have a bug? Is there another way to do it? Thanks Thanks

Yeah, that is the way to do it. Here is what it looks like (Bryce 4), it works the same way in Bryce 5. Simply put: In the (above) edit dialogue, select "ranged falloff". Stick your cursor in the little window. (important) Press and hold "alt". Left click mouse button and keep button down. Drag your mouse left or right to change value. "Alt" & left mouse button must both be held down contstantly until you reach the number you want. Hope that helps. Agent Smith
