Bryce rendered, planets from bryce, background is from the universe plugin but spacestation was modeled outside bryce. Warning: if the black of space is grey then your monitor is too bright for this picture (like the one in front of me), and imperfections caused by universe will be really noticeable on the background. This is only one picture of 3 im making for a single scifi panel. Might mention this is likely the most northerly rendered picture in the world. Given im sitting for the next 3 months 400 miles from the north pole in a tiny weather station few will go furthur. 24 hour darkness here, lots of time to be creative assuming the wolves dont get me at 4am when i go look for meteors away from the camp. ACK ACK file slightly over 200k and not accepted, therefore heres the link that contains it (dont want to go walk to my computer to resize): Its Delphi so just pick guest to gain access if it asks for a password. String of html misery as follows: http://forums.delphiforums.com/n/mb/at.asp?webtag=bryce&at=%2Fbryce%2Fgeneral%2Fdocs%2FEEC401ED%2DDBC6%2D11D5%2DBD5D%2D000629DE7424%2Fspace%5Fhabitant%5F5%5Ffinal%2Ejpg&frames=yes

Great scene and a good looking space station, but imho you could use a few more textures on the space station. What is this universe plug in?

Its at http://www.diardsoftware.com $25. At first it seems limited if you use the presets. But with experimenting, you can actually make a basic pic with it, then use that pic as only the base of creating another galaxy within it. Hard to explain unless youve tried it. Prob is that when you make lets say one lensflare star next to another, where the 2nd one stops can be a distinct line change of brightness following a straight line. Most annoying, takes a lot of work to blend out even partially but touch ups afterwards.

Given the pic is only a small part of another one soon, i didnt want to 2x the time needed to map each peice individually.

What program was the space station modeled in? I usually use Rhino 1.0.

I like it, except as has allready been pointed out the lack of texture on the space station, and I think the background is just a little to busy to be effective. Other than that it looks great. -Tempest-

Used Max at work for the spacestation, use rhino when home. But then since this weather station is mostly one building, home is now 150 feet up a hallway from work. Yep even as the final render finished, i regretted making the background as i did. But too impatient to start another picture, who knows... if i get bored ill redo this one with far less.

I like the space station, very nice. Have you tried Starbits for backgrounds? It's great for galaxies and nebula :) http://www.astroscape.com/
