well, for the winter holidays at least. Don't own a camera, can't print unless I drop some major non-existent cash, and besides, I got my clamation/live action/puteranitmation/photgraphy hybrid short film to keep myself busy (which you all have to download once it's finished! Won't be large, no more than 10 megs compressed in DIVX at the absolute MAX). school ends very soon, and I ain't sure if I'll get a chance to get back in the darkroom at all. In the meantime, I gaurantee that I will still be a regular here, answering every post with the ever so repetitive "more contrast", and yes, I will be entering in the november shapes contest, and yes, I will whip some major moderator booty. Just thought I'd squelch the fears you all may have had regarding that subject, heh heh... In the meanntime, I will continue to sport a devilish grin. It's gettiong pretty cool in the forum and on renderosity. No longer do I feel like an invisible character with an amusing name that very annoyingly makes everyone in the main chat room chant the commercial Slinky song over and over. People are actually respecting my opinions and beliefs around here, and I've actually been asked questions on a few occasions by some people who I'd expect to ask someone more knowledged in subjects, which is damn cool. Also, for the steadily increasing amount of new faces showing up around here, there are some great people in this form from varying backgrounds, tastes, and styles, and I have yet to find a single person unwilling to help out a stranger in the photo forum. Post your asses off, and be your own final judge, but don't be afraid to ask what may seem like a "dumb" question or anything cause everyone had to start somewhere, and everyone had to ask that same question or have it asked for them at some point (and if someone hasn't yet, you'll be helpping them out too by asking). And fear not, because the donuts are on Alpha every Sunday. Ry ps. JordyArt is in charge of supplying the toilet paper, which he has failed to do on the last several occasions. It'd be really nice for a newcomer to pick up his slack... hint hint.

Ohhh! Don't go! Maybe we could all chip in and buy one of those disposable cameras to tide you over. We'd miss your work.

yes dispo cameras are a possible solution. Check out the reusable ones. It's been a while (apro. 10 yeasrs!) since I considered taking one apart orlooking inside one but you may be able to put normal film inside if it. Once you get the film on the reel you just tape it closed with eletrical tape! Bsteph

Ive only done it once, complications have arisen, and Im only doing my second test starting tuesdayt, which is paying for new york for me. After that, I think the next one HAS to buy me a 35mm, or I shall go nuts if I keep using a nikon fm-10, decent as it is. had a couple of ya fooled, admit it... I have a cheapo auto camera, but man, I won't go there...

Why not. I've seen pictures out of one that were better than my digital one. Bsteph

The total lack of control lends a total lack of appeal to me. Auto cams I'd rather use on vacation, but otherwise, I really demand as much control as I can get. I can't stand f-stop prioritiy or any other priority cams, gotta be manual man. GOOD NEWS, may be getting a cheap firewire card from muh friend so long as it works clean with Stop Motion Pro.
