There are a few tweaks still being done to the textures, though when this is finished it will be posted to the freestuff (probably in pieces though, as it is LARGE!!!)

The non-perforated cape looks much more impressive. Ive never read the comic but the cape in the film was more or less intact.

GREAT character! I personally like the cape, although I agree with VirtualSite that the perforated cape can diminish some of Spawn's presence. A trans map would be great for the cape -- one for intact, and one for "battle damaged". Also, what about the mask? It'd be pretty cool to have a hamburger-head texture like this one, and also a regular mask texture. All in all, its great work. Can't wait to see it when its done. Jimbo

Now the head looks Great! However I do agree about the cape, in the movie his cape was almost undestructable and carried a life of it's own. All round Excellent model!!

Well, the movie kind was kind of stupid in some ways. Spawn's cape is frequently torn up in the comic books, but in the movie, they did make it like a protective cloak-thingy, ala Batman's cape in the horid "Batman Forever" (remember the lame fire-repellent cape morph thing he did in the sewers?). If he were modeling it from the movie, he'd be pretty far off, but like he said, in his other post, its based on the post 100th issue version of Spawn. Using that as a comparison, it gets an A+. thanks for the comments folks.... I think i'll take your request to heart on the subject of the cape and provide both the one seen and a "non-perforated" version (it is just a trans-map anyway so no biggie there).... Most of the maps I'm using come from a Spawn model I completed a couple of years ago that never really felt quite right. The head is completely new, but the body is just a placeholder/guide for now. I'm planning on it being more of a leathery, colorless thing in the end... kind of a combination and outgrowth of the costume from the regular comic, the film and from the Hellspawn comic which has an incredible art style from Ashley Wood (one I find much more fitting the tone of the character but that's a discussion for another day...). Anyway... I also have an extremely detailed model of the Violator that is screaming to be Poser-ized so you can bet you'll start seeing his toothy head pop up as development continues.... (BTW: anyone interested in helping out with the setup and conversion of this guy into Poser can email me at lgarner@sixus1.com about it.. help would be appreciated as I have paying work to do and can't give as much time to these as I'd like) Thanks again folks...

I still have a special fondness for the "football-face" Spawn from the early days of the comic :) Beautiful work, by the way.

I dunno but Spawn's cape will kick Batbud's cape any day, Spawn's cape is a life form in it's self. Like a simbiot it is part of Spawn, like one of his weapons but with a bit of evil inside, like the 'monster' Spawn struggles to control and contain.
