Hi. When I load Poser I get an error message I've never seen before. "Requested window size is too large, Creating the next best thing". Poser then loads everything except the main document window and whatever I do I cannot get the main window to appear. I've resized the window, reloaded the main program from disc, set the preferences to 'factory state' - all the obvious things, yet none of them works. Even more bizarrely Poser was working fine yesterday and I've not adjusted it, or anything else on my computer, since then. Anyone have any ideas ? dariop

Sounds like your desktop "Preferred State" got changed. Pulldown: EDIT /GENERAL PREFERENCES & Click on "Launch To Factory State" & "Use Factory State". Re-launch Poser and then set the desktop back to the way you like and "Set Preferred State" & "Use Preferred State" in that same dialog box. Next time you open it should use your new settings.

Other things to try if that fails; 1) Try loading any other PZ3 files that you've made or tried in the past. 2) Exit. Powerdown computer for 10 sec. ReBoot. Start Poser & try again. Good Luck!

I get that error a lot, but it generally goes away. I think (on my PC at least) it has something to do with me using background images larger than the actual render I'm doing. That error comes up the next time I run Poser after I've saved a PZ3 with an oversized background. But it goes away for next time, so I haven't worried about it. Eirian

Yep- the "error" message is because the pz3 scene file is bigger than your document window. Poser will load it the best it can (in other words, the scene may be zoomed in or out). To "fix" it- go to Window > Document Window Size and reset the Width and Height to whatever you like. The scene may look funny again, so you'll have to play with the camera controls to get a good view of the characters. Also, since you're working with someone else's pz3 scene file, don't forget to check the Render Options before rendering- it may be set to "Cast Shadows" when you may not want it to! --John
