yeah yeah, I've done this before too, heres what you do: Go to Edit-> General Preferences... then it should have 4 little buttons, over on the right, under interface preference, click the bubble for Launch to Factory State, then close out, and start it back up

eh, sry not Launch to factory state, but Use Factory State

Also try the Poser 2 interface switch. Type PO2 (the letters "P" and "O" and the number 2) on your keyboard, and to return to Poser 3 Type PO3. This puts the document window within reach, and you can pull it to the desired location. Also works in Poser 4.

You can also move just about anything in the window wherever you want by rightclicking on the title and dragging it around the page. If you then set that as your "preferred state" it should stay that way whenever you startup.
