I have a Dell Dimension 8200 1.8 Ghz with 256 MB R-Dram with the Geforce 3 64MB Nvidia graphics card running on Windows XP Home Edition. Well I bought a Samsung Synchmaster 900NF 19" and the picture quality stinks. Everything in Photoshop and Poser is dark or bland even if I emmulate Photoshop 4 images from my prior version. What is the best 19" graphics monitor that I can buy for Photoshop 6 images? Money not being an issue. I really need some help. Please... John

Look at DisplayMate - perhaps your monitor/video card needs adjustment to get the appearance you are looking for."Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance." - H. L. Mencken

I really like the Sony Trinitron that I have. It is the 420 series I believe. The picture quality is great.

Sounds like you have to adjust the monitor's gamma. Do you have the problem using other software or just these two. Is everything bland interface and all or just the pictures? I f the monitor is under warranty I would contact them before throwing the baby with the bathwater.
