This is my first attempt at moving outside the "screw around" box of first learning a program. I don't know how to get the desired effect though. I want there to be an overhead canopy of trees over the fountain; marked in red (the FOV is extended to see more) and my original idea was to have shafts of sunlite coming through (no idea how, just thought it'd be neat :) But hey, maybe one step at a time!) A wee bit unsure how to pull this off, can anyone offer any advice on how to do that? Thanks Josh

If I understand you, Id suggest creating a sphere (or a series of them at staggered positionings) and texture all of them with a leaf texture that has an alpha channel for the spaces -- in B4, therere two such textures in the miscellaneous section, I think. Shafts of light through the leaves? I believe its possible in B5, but I dont know of anything in B4 that will create such an effect without dragging your rendertime into the ground.

I agree. Under Misc its called Foliage or FoliageII and feel free to play with the colors in the deep texture editor.

shafts of sunlight: have a look at www.brycetech.com . There is a tutorial of doing it in three or four different ways .
