I would suggest getting rid of the castle. I think it would look better without it. But then that's just my opinion. I like the pic other than that, get concept you came up with. Keep up the good work.

Yeah I too would remove the castle - it kinda moves it away from the "center of attention" which to me is the sleeping gaint. (hey, you could add a torist center instead and make it modern ^_^) The only other thing I notice is that your cliffs (especially the ones up the front) are a little shiney. I don't know much about the mapping and texturing myself yet, but I would suggest trying to make the front cliffs a little more life like by removing that shinyness.. Other then that - the gaint looks wonderful, and the whole scene is very good. Did you do the gaint in Poser? (which version)

I think I know what you were doing with the castle .. adding scale right? Just a thought. I think perhaps a boat would be thetter though ... keep the focus but give the scale .. You might also try to incorprate some of the grassy texture that the castle is on in the rest of the trrain and even the giant ... small terrains on the shoulders or something. Might add a tree or two to make it less barren .. Just a thought but good work ..

Hi all, Thats exactly what I was using the castle for Ghostofmacbeth, During the render I thought maybe a lighthouse on his right ankle to show scale, the other version of this image, http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=107&Form.ShowMessage=46509 did'nt have anything at all to suggest scale, I also agree with the trees and grassy texture on the giant too. I worked long and hard on that particular texture. I was prepared for the "get rid of the castle" replies Autoloader, and I will, If you take a look at the first version(link above)you see a drastic change from the giants texture which was my main concern, the castle was really just an after thought to suggest scale. any other suggestions about how to achieve that would be welcomed, If I need to do it at all. Now that you mention it TracyAnn , I prolly should drop the specularity down a bit on the terrains. Oh By the way The giant was in fact done in Poser 3.1 I'm waiting to start hearing about a patch for Poser 4 before purchasing it. Thank you all for the great replies an suggestions. Terrific image. I haven't looked at your other one, but I agree that something else to signify scale would maybe be better. Good work and great concept. Diane B
