When, when making an AVI movie in Poser 4, is there a square mosaic texture to the figures? Is it the codec I'm using? Mike

I'm not entirely sure of what you mean. Could you post a pic of one of the frames?

either that or is there a texture problem, do a single frame render, see if you have a problem, If not its the codec you are useing, there are many free ones out there that do a better job then stock poser ones. DIVX is one on them. I like to render my avi full frames uncompressed. then use an outside converter program to make them mpegs. It works alot better and you dont have to worry about haveing to rerender if the compressed version is messed up. Famine

Famine is right - if you've got the disk space and another application to assemble the movie, definitely render to individual uncompressed frames. Then you'll have lots more options to use your material in a variety of ways, both now and later if have you file the frames away on CD. There's also the immediate benefit that if something goes wrong part way through you can start up where you left off instead of at the beginning.
