Lighting is one of those wonderful things that you can play with for hours getting just right. The only advice I can give you is to try reducing the light value slightly and seeing if that has the desired effect (or close to it). This, I think, is more a brightness issue than colour. And, BTW, that is one superb picture Paul

heya; i think it looks fine. the brightness of the face against the dark background makes your eye focus on that point, which is a major point of interest, so that's good. the colour is not washed out or too bright. the legs look a bit flat, you might try a fill light back there, or get rid of a fill light that is making the back edge of the near leg as bright as the front edge. (ie: make the front leg kinda fade into the darkness a bit more.) i guess that didn't help, huh? ;)

I too like the amount of light on her face, but how come the reflection of the bottles is reflecting on everything but her? Maybe that's what's bugging you????

If your using Poser's lights, I take it that it's a spot. Try reducing the brightness slightly and increasing the end angle.

off-topic...how did you do the reflection? I've never managed to make mirror-like surfaces in p4...am I doing something totally wrong? (obviously) SewerRat

sewerat, the background picture was done in bryce, the figure was done in poser. I just imported the bryce file and then modeled the figure over it. The only way I have been able to give the apearance of reflections in poser is to make a texture map and add it to the object. It takes a lot of work to make it work right. BTW thanks for a question that I knew how to answer. skee
