Attached Link: Now at my Gallery!

heyas! had this image in my head and it wouldnt leave me alone, so i made it. i guess i'm really supposed to post finished images in the gallery, but i crave the immediate gratification of the forum, here. oh! um... yeah, okay, i really wanted to ask if the snow is too dark. i darkened the background to make it look a bit more stormy and cold, but maybe it was too much. (i can still go back and change it! ;) ) that's bryce 2 in the background, there. yep, never upgraded from 2. :) the p3/p4 cat with oodles of morphs by capsces (www.capsces.com), and me (www.poserworld.com), and probably lyne, too (www.poserworld.com). i used my big face cat uvmap and painter 3d to make the stripes. at any rate, you can read the whole thrilling (chilling?) story at my gallery! ;) and may everybody have a wonderful season... and don't get eaten by any wild animals. ;)

Wow! Is the tiger texture posted anywhere, or is it your own work? Very nice!

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

Looks great. The snow is awesome. Is it straight out of Bryce, or is it post-production. If you want to see some really sad snow, check out some of the diet coke cans. The snow has yellow streaks in it. Really, not kidding. smerc

thanks guys; no, i painted the tiger myself, using my big face cat uvmap. actually, that file needs to be updated to work right, maybe i should post the tiger stripes in it. hmmm... what, that flying snow? made in bryce? bwahaahahhaha! not by ME, bud! :) no, it's all done in photoshop. (i was gonna put that in, but really, i wrote down all the gory details on my gallery web page. try it, you'll like it!) yellow snow? hmm... falling from the sky? that's acid snow. you know, like acid rain. :)

Coming from snow country...it looks good! Snow is rarely pure white. The swirls and falling snow look real good. The only little picky thing I have to say is the snow over the rocks is a little sharp...could stand some "rounding and softening"...just minor. The cat looks beautiful..and fluid!!! nice posing! Hey it's Tigertron! Beast Wars reference...

bloodsong posted Thu, 16 December 1999 at 6:05 PM

naah; tigertron ain't that sleek. and it aint snowmeow from thundercats, either, so shush! :) anyway, i patched up the big face cat file and added not one but THREE textures to it (the white tiger, a tabby cat, and my jaguar from 'lethal beauty.' oooh! i'll send it to poserworld this weekend.) (ps: if you like this cat but missed 'lethal beauty' check it out on my web page.)

I have a question Bloodsong-one I've wondered about since I got Poser this summer. On these 'big face' files, do we use objaction mover or what. I'm just not sure what to do with them. Diane B

Great looking tiger :) The shoulder morphs are a nice touch.

heya; picnic: yes. if you get a big face map file and it is pcf, that's an objaction mover file. you need to decode the pcf back into an obj to use it. if you're making a big face (or just 'different') uv map, on a copyrighted obj, you should encode it with mover. did that help? :)
