Hi, I am brand new to Poser and just installed Poser 4, and am trying to learn with the tutorial that came with it. The problem I'm having is, in the tutorial it tells me to go to Render->Materials and load a RSR file into the image, I go to the directory where the file is, select "Show All Files", but it still won't show any RSR files. It's very odd, I know it's there cause I see it in Windows Explorer. Has anyone had this problem? By the way I'm using Windows XP.

RSR files are not loadable in the materials window. That is for graphic texture files in jpg, gif, tif, pict format and so on. I haven't done the tutorial but perhaps it is a typo.

That's got to be a misprint. The manual that comes with Poser is riddled with them. What you do in the Materials window is load the texture files and they're usually either JPGs or BMPs. You need to look for the texture you want and load that. I've never heard of loading an RSR from the Materials window. Someone with a more technical mind out there who can explain it better than I can? :) Melanie

Thank you everyone for the response. I was going nuts trying to figure it out. I'm going to try to use the tutorials by the members in these forums, I'll probably be better off. Thanks again
