Is that a bump map on the blue part, or is it part of the texture? I don't have Michael's catsuit... if I did though, and that is a bump map, I'd pick this up just for the bump maps if nothing else... maybe someday I'll actually buy clothing pack 2! :)

The bumps in the blue part are indeed made solely by the bump map. Go ahead and download the file and check out the texture and bump. The bumps on the other textures all vary. Doug

OK, I only recently got Mike and just got the body suit then downloaded the "super suit" from DCcomics. My question for you Sturkwurk: you have posted (for the remapped Michael Body Suit from Daz3d) Does this mean the DCComic version or 'another' remapped version over at Daz3d other than the one on ClothesPack #2? (I'm still trying to figure out the mapps on the two differnet versions at DCcomic ->I admit, I get confused easily with 'remapped versions')

igohigh... I'd be happy to help you out, but I have no idea what you mean by "super suit from DC Comics"? My textures are based on two things... one you have to own, the other you can download for free. You have to already own the Michael Clothing Pack 2 from Daz3d.com. Then you have to remap it to fit my textures. The good news is, that's already been done, and you can download a free version from www.3d-cc.com! After you've done this, you'll have two different versions of the suit in your library... the original from Daz3d and the remapped one. My textures work on the remapped one. why didnt I just use the Daz model in the first place? Well, it's pretty hard to map correctly without using something like Deep Paint or Zbrush, and I prefer to do my texture creating in PhotoShop and Illustrator. Now... if you already own the Michael body suit (From the clothing pak2) then you're halfway to testing out my textures! Just download the remapped version, install it... then install my sample of the Leopard texture and Mat pose and you're good to go! Does that help? Doug

Makes sense to me, Doug. Thanks for the excellent explanation. And the freebies!

Thanks Sturkwurk, confusion was on my part, I was at work and speaking from memory (not so good these daze I suppose). Yes, i just got the Clothing Pack#2 particularly so I could use the "3d-cc.com" download (the one I foolishly refered to as 'super suit') My confusion is the 2 different downloads they offer for the re-mapped version and why? UV-Mapper version Object Mover version I went with the Object Mover version and now I see, yes, I'm all set! Now if Christmas would just get done, I have plans for Sharby's Kraven! (the whole reason I ran out to get Pack#2...and now I gotta get yours too!!! "Michael, what did you get me into??!!)
sturkwurk posted Mon, 17 December 2001 at 8:38 PM
There's a reason behind the two versions... both Maximum Impact and myself were working on the same thing at the same time, when we were finished, we decided just to post both versions and let the end user choose which one they wanted to use. Looking forward to seeing your Kraven artwork, as I'm sure Sharby is too! Doug

Ooooooh, that eases my mind that I shouldn't have to run back some day cuz a texture somewhere won't fit the one I chose to get. Thanks Sturkwurk! Yup, Michael has me even dusting off some other standard characters I have been itchin to work with :-) (shutup Mike! You'll get Vicky latter, settle for Eve for now!!)
