ello ello. Made an action script, works like a charm. Now I be wondering if theres a shortcut key to press "play" for the script. Also, if there isn't, any idea how I can configure a short cut key for the play button? Im just trying to be as lazy as possible and doo the least amount of fudging around, cuz it'll get tedious after 700 frames... using PS6.0.1 incidently thanks a lot for looking btw. ry

I dont know of a shortcut key,but if you want to apply the SAME action to a number of similar documents, you can use batch processing and let the computer do the laborious repetitive work. Put all the documents in one folder & then create another folder to recieve the processed images.Go to file-automate-batch.The resultant pop-up menu is pretty self explanitory, select the folder with the documents, specify the action, then select the target folder, and click O.K. That,s about all there is to it. There is a fuller explanation including some more complex variations at the attached link.

You could also create a droplet of your action. Save it to desktop. When you want to use action on one or more files in a folder, just drag and drop folder onto droplet application file and it will automatically open photoshop and batch process your files with the action. You can also do this with Image Ready. I use droplets daily to resize file dimensions and optimize the file size on hundreds of avatars used for a chat client.

Oh me, oh my. I was using a shortcut for actions today in Image Ready and remembered the post about "any idea how I can configure a short cut key for the play button?". Select any action in the action palette, right click (or double click)and select Actions Options. You can set the F2-F12 with/without Shift and/or Control. This works in both Photoshop and Image Ready. I still prefer droplets.
