I've done some new tutorials - 1 one basic image based texturing, this is a good one if you've never tried using image based textures (instead of procedurals) before... and 1 on creating motion blur in post work - also explains how to use the object mask feature to isolate elements of a render. They're on my new site http://www.curiography.com I hope you will all come and visit often! :) Pete

thanks for the tutorial, but just one question. Is there a way to keep your picture texture proportions when you stretch out the cube? I would think that would be a button somewhere in the material lab, but can't seem to make it work.

if it is mapped parametrically the texture will stretch with the object. If you want it not to stretch, but repeat itself - say along the length of a wall - then stretch it in the x or z (along the long axis of the wall) in the texture editor - the green button. There's lots of other mapping modes to play with - such as world space - which completely ignore what the object does. (world space will only work in 2 axis'hope that helps!
