Ok, I downloaded some free stuff, and used PInstall to install it to the directory, saving me valuable time. I go into Poser, click on the newly installed file, and what happens? Poser can't find or can't load the obj file. WTF is up with that? I tried downloading the file again, running PInstall again, and got the same thing. Is there another way or program out there that is either free or trial based that does a better job than this?

I'm affraid not. This is probably a small bug in PInstall, mail the prob to the author so that he can fix it. As always, beside heavy development and costly tools, the handy way remains the safer ;))

It's not a bug. You probably don't have the obj file on your system. There are many things in freestuff for Michael, Vicki, their clothing packs, etc. If you don't own those objs you can't use the items. If the obj is included in the archive, PInstall makes sure it gets placed in the correct folder. Send me a link to the archive you are having trouble with and I will tell you what the problem is. I use PInstall just about everyday, it works.

Thips Leather Jacket for Michael. That's one of them. I opened the zips manually, and the OBJ's ARE there.

I'll take a look at it. If there's a bug I'll get it fixed quickly. Thanks.

It worked flawlessly for me, so first make sure you have the latest version (v1.3.1) and then if it still doesn't work, tell me which options you are using, your OS, etc. You can email me directly at support@flashcardsonline.com. Very nice jacket, by the way.

Okay, so I downloaded the demo of PInstall a few days ago, and no worries with installation of files (occasionally, something wasn't going where I wanted it, but a few cut & clips in the file directories set that right as rain). Then, the storm; my machine took a header; and two days later (once I got my system functional), I received a notification stating the time/date were fluxed (to speak liberally of it), and my copy would no longer function. Before I actually buy the registration code, is there any way to get the system to finish out the whole shebang of the 'trial period', or should I just stop being a mensch and go ahead & buy the code? Also, your site lists both PayPal and Visa/MC, though you've only got payment options for PayPal. What's up with that?

Thips' stuff is very picky. If memory serves the readme files say that you must put the obj file in the same folder as the clothes... and that is something with thips name on it. Again, read the readme file.

BeeDee567, You can buy it here at Renderosity with your credit card. I'm not able to reset the trial period until a new version is released.
