No doubt to me the design is a much more jarring problem than for a non professional. I suppose it depends on what you consider a "professional". =) My main work is in theater design, and Ive found the materials at PW to be eminently useful when completing the "look" of a proposed set design for a period play. Ive been approached by costumers whove asked if I can take the clothing models and retexture them using the designers choices so we can view not only the set and lights but the costumes as well in virtual space. Youre right: there arent sufficient polygons to make the fabric flow as well as one would like for animation, but it still works extremely well for static presentations. Its all a question of need, as you yourself point out. Unfortunately most of what I have gotten back for it is insulting commentary. I think you may be overreacting just a tad there, friend. After all, theres nothing more fanatical than a convert, right? =) If the materials at PW arent for you, then no biggie. Its not like you have to be a subscriber to hang in here. But at the same time, if the issue is with the review site, then I would suggest that perhaps that particular area may be out of their hands. It serves a number of sites, not just PWFW, and Id happily bet that Steve and Rena have little if any control over the look of that area. Failing that, you could always contact them directly and offer your services to clean it up for them.

Well, I meant the web design but yeah.. I think you're right. The stuff looks good for visualization but not as a primary render component.

"But at the same time, if the issue is with the review site, then I would suggest that perhaps that particular area may be out of their hands. It serves a number of sites, not just PWFW, and Id happily bet that Steve and Rena have little if any control over the look of that area."

You might well be right :) Again, my professional bias is showing. Since my first commercial website I have always run on my own dedicated servers and bandwidth and insist that my clients do as well. The idea that they might have to leave such an important part in the hands of someone else simply didn't occur to me.

"Failing that, you could always contact them directly and offer your services to clean it up for them."

While I would be happy to talk to them about it I don't want to do so at this point because I don't want it to seem like I am working to get business, I don;t have enough time for our contracts as it is :)

My suggestions are pretty straightforward and I am sure if they decide they are in the market they may decide to get in touch - but to be honest they don't need a pro really to make some of the basic changes.

As always, best of luck to them - their clients seem happy and that's is always the hardest part.
