I wanted to share a fishing tale. Having fun with Carrara modeling fish and a fly fishing rod. I had trouble making the rod bend using the Poser Pro Pack, I just can't seem to get the joint perameter zones correct so I used a magnet to create morphs. I need to find a possable rope to use at the line at the tip of the rod. Has anyone seen a thin rope? I want to post the trout soon as I get a better texture for it. I can't wait for summer!

Ajax's EasyPose Tube, available here in Free Stuff, might work well if you scale it down along a couple of axes.

Uhh. Posing along bendy hose or rope or line is a $%^&*. I have written to Technical Support Manager tech@curiouslabs.com about that. Trying to reroute an IK-chain by moving an intermediate segment is like wrestling with a large incooperative python. What we need is for an IK-chain to be ONE long segment and the user to be able to set its position and direction at any number of places along its route.

I believe that PhilC was the one who mentioned the "curve" dial for getting a long straight thingy to bend smoothly at the joints. Ask him for advice. Nice job! The fish is just the right size for my frying pan... just kidding! Carolly, hungry for her Grandma's pan-fried trout and huckleberry pie.

Thank you all for the feedback, sorry I couldn't "feed" everyone hauksdottir : ) . I want to post the fishing rod, it needs a little work, think the reel is too big and it is a bit on the cartoon side. How do I do that? Post a model? And can I post it in Carrara format so it can be edited easier? PhilC has a rope out there some where, I am hunting for it. If anyone has it in zipped and doesn't mind emailing it to me, I'd appreciate it. rstagg@gci.net ... i'm on a mac. I might use the snake skeleton and try and make a primitive rope out of it. I just need something to act act as the fly line coming off the tip of the rod. Happy New Year Everyone!

Frankly, I think my EasyPose tube in the free stuff is your best optionl. You'll have to make your own texture, but for posability you'll have trouble finding an equal. Anthony, you should check it out too. The technique could be good for your stuff.
