I'm currently making a scene in bryce that is about 36 mb in size, and i was working on it tonight, when all of a sudden, right after saving, Bryce crashed. Now whenever i try opening that file, it will stall a sec, and then crash. What is going on? I'm on an iMac 450 DV+ with 320 mb (210 dedicated to Bryce 5). I've also tried the same file on the PC with 128 mb of memory, and the same thing happens. Is there any possible way i can get back into the file? Please help. Thanks in advance.

If the file is still on your hard disk and you can find it, try this, locate the file, click on it's properties, and see if there is a check mark next to the achive field or anywhere. Uncheck all marks and try opening it then, hope this helps. I don't know about MAC, but this usually works in PC's. Sharen

"Type 2" is a "not enough memory" problem. Select the Bryce app icon and do a get info (apple-I). Then select memory from the pull down and alot more memory to Bryce. You might have to adjust it more or less to your standards.

Not only allocate more memory to bryce, but I would go where your file is saved and rename it. But yeah a Type 2 is not a memory issue, If I'm correct that's a hardware issue error message. So it may be your iMac and not the software. You can also go to Apple's website and look up the error code you keep getting, that should tell ya exactly what's up.
Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!
