Anyone know what's up with this?

Have no idea. We can wait for someone more knowledgeable to come along, or ... we just start guessing at random until we hit upon the solution. Corrupted geometry .rsr? Wedge not scaled and positioned on the head properly? Wrong texture assigned to that part of the mesh? Premature hair loss?

LOL got ripped off at Hair Club for men! Any who - is this the hair or the head? I've had probs like this but it got corrected with S3 of the Pro Pack - had to do with bad geometries. Yeah I know - another worthless post - didnt help you any. Sorry.

It only happens with the dark texture for the wedge cut. So I guess it's a texture problem?? Has anyone else experienced this problem with wedge hair?

Here it is with the blonde texture.

Maybe it has something to do with the transmaps or transparency settings. Do you apply the textures with MAT files?

There is a morph on the dark and the bald wedge cut called BaldFull that is set to 1, that is not on the light colored wedge cut. Set the morph to 0 and the fishtail goes away.

wyrwulf wins the prize! (which is my gratitude). Thanks to everyone for your help.
