I love the black and white, what don't you like, the wood on the stairs and spindles may be going in the wrong direction, but what else, I think this is good. Sharen

Thank you ever so much for your kind words! I have admired your work, and enjoyed reading your expert comments on the boards over the months, but I didn't think I would ever attract a compliment from you, Sharen! Thank you! 2002 really has started well! :o) ahem Starstruck grovelling aside! I am not entirely sure about the woman, and whether or not there should be something in the distance... Thanks for the wood tip though, I will look into that :) Steve

Hi Steve! This has a very cool quality to it. I agree with Sharen that the wood material is set the wrong direction, but hopefully that will be easy enough to fix. (Sharen strikes stars in our eyes all the time around here.) ;) As to the woman in the image, it may be due to the camera angle, but she appears to be falling forward, as if she is just about to tumble the rest of the way down the stairs. (Notice her forward angle compared to the upright angle of the bannister rails.) I wouldn't add anything in front of her, the "fuzziness" of the shadows is sufficient to raise a sense of mystery. :) Happy 2002!

Dear toashzadel, I am embarrassed, I really have no expert advice, I am just learning, and I am trying to get to everyone even though I can't answer some of there questions. I feel that I love responses to my posts, that all would like some back. Although I do think people get sick of me hanging out here, like I have no life outside Renderosity, he he , I don't, but that is another issue that the therepist will have to deal with....just kidding. Happy New Year and thank you, you do honor me. Sharen

There IS life outside Renderosity?? Quick someone help me find it!!! ;o) Seriously, I do like your picture, but I agree about the wood. Sometimes materials that have a distinct pattern like wood can be a bit of a pain to get right. But DO play in the material editor. If you do, a lot of things will become clear to you as to what does what :o). Laurie

LOL Laurie, you sometimes wonder if there is life outside this area....I think I missed half a year so far, I can only tell because my dog seems to be bigger. Sharen Not to get off the subject, because I do love this picture, kind of spooky too.
