I've been wanting to learn to make jewelry and was wondering what some of the jewelry makers as well as prop makers use here, that's if you don't mind sharing your secrets %^)

What do you want to know?

I just want to know what software you use.

I use 3ds max but it's not that common because of the price(have it in school). But there is a free version called g max made for making game characters that supposed to be very good check out "www.discreet.com/products/gmax/gmaxconsumer/" for more info. More common used program is "true space" and "rhino". You could also check out Strata 3d that I think is a freeware. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions regarding this just let me know. Carrara at www.eovia.com is great and comes with Amapi 5.0. Demo version is available to see if it fits your personality and style.

Thanks for the help I've gone as far as opening 3ds max and closing it after about 30 mins. Rhino I've tried for a bit but no beans. I haven't tried True Space or Carrara yet, but they all seem to be just a bit over my head. I was really hoping that Bryce would export .obj boy was I sadly mistaken, I don't know it that well but I can at least make something half decent with it, is there anything with an interface similar to that. Thanks again for all your help.

cinema 4d maybe? works fine for me, although I'm a newbie, just like you ;)

Now there's one I haven't even thought of, well I'll give it a try, thanks.

My advice is to try out max again. You don't have to learn mutch to do amazing stuff and you will never feel that there is something that just can't be done. Magnus

Ok, I'll try it once more and let you know if I can actually do anything in it, thanks for the push. LOL
