Just a quickie question. How can I change the default figure at start up from the casual male figure to say the P4 nude woman (or any other character)? Thanks Lester

Incidently, you don't need any figure, mine starts empty, as I never know what I'm going to do. ;-) I always thought the mark of a "professional" program, like Pagemaker, Quark or Photoshop was that it started with a blank screen, unlike MS Word, for example, that starts with an document open. Just delete the original figure and do what Nance said.

I agree about starting with a blank Poser document. I just wish there was a way to get rid of the cursed figure circle that totally distracts from things. As for MS Word, I always click on the MS Word icon, and guess what? It opens as a blank document. If you click on an icon for a document, then it opens a document, grin.

In your Poser|Runtime|Figures folder there is a file called default.figure. Open this with Notepad, or another text editor, and change the default figure there. readScript ":Runtime:libraries:character:Poser 2 Lo:Default Guy.cr2" Change that line to reflect the character you want to start with. Easy-peasy :)

I just wish there was a way to get rid of the cursed figure circle that totally distracts from things. What figure circle? Oh, that figure circle. I turned that off ages ago, and managed to forget that it ever existed. On the Display menu, there's an option for Figure Circle. Just uncheck it.
