Sorry about this silly question, but what is carrara for ?? I'm using Poser, Bryce and a little bit vue, but i don't see any reason for getting carrara. Hope not to annoy someone too bad. ;-)

Carrara is a more robust modeller than either Poser or Bryce. With Carrara you can actually create figures for Poser or complex objects for use in Poser or Bryce. Bryce is outstanding in atmospheric rendering. However, if you're not doing landscapes, the Bryce render engine is agonizingly slow as compared to Carrara. Carrara has a pretty good renderer. It's comparitivly inexpensive to the Big Name 3D programs and does a lot for the price. I use all three programs. They are good complements. Mark Bremmer www.markbremmer.com
