Subject: Photomanipulation or montage?

It is very fun for me and my grandchildren to make new things out of the photos I take of them.But what are the result called ? Here is Emma surfing (on her skateboard)

Nice stuff! Combining images without actually editing them (except for cutting, etc) is ofcourse montage....changing about everything else is manipulation. But I'm sure you weren't seriously asking that ;) Anyway, here's an example..... This is the original (photo from gallery)

OHHHH Boy...! Emma's Nightmare may well give me some! Great images, manipulated or montaged, Gun! Rork, your dog looks really cute in the first image, it's quite amzing how by flipping the ear down (and smoothing out some of his 'worry lines' I think...) on the second, he looks like a dog not to be be messed with!

Some good examples of what can be done with everyday images and a little photo post work. Keep up the good work. This is the place to test your ideas and hone your skills. Every image is a learning experience for the artist and the viewer.
