Okay....I had an idea for a graphic that I wanted to make for gallery. I modelled a halter top, and some jewelry items, for it. Making a long story short....the top disappears...will not render..but can be seen in the regular poser window...when i add any of the other props that i made....and, yes...they all have unique names. not only that...the prop is listed twice, and in the render materials, i had to assign materials twice. but, when i delete one of them....yup....it isn't there at all. grrrrr.... do any of you who model for poser know what i did wrong? i sure hope so, 'cause i am very baffled. Could be a number of things. What do you see in the Hierarchy editor? Did you UV map the models? If a model is a primitive, a block or cube, Poser has problems with it. Make a block or cube with multiple lines per surface. (check out the box prop in wireframe mode) If you can not resolve it yourself, send me the .obj file and I'll give it a go. pmorris57@worldnet.att.net Joat Mon

I uvmapped it...and, it had both a trans and texture map, that worked before I added any of the other "jewelry" props. No...it was not made out of a primitive...but, rather, was a nurbs object made into a mesh. (Rhino model.) I have done this quite a few times in the past...and, this has not happened. But, i am on a different computer, now, since mine was stolen...and, just may be doing...omitting...some step. grrrrr...thanks for the help.

I had exactly the same problem once. It just seemed to be random and I never found a reason for it. In the end I deleted the prop from the scene and put in a new copy of it, which seemed to fix the problem. Whatever the problem was, it was in the pz3, not in the prop itself.

check the transmap again, make sure that the map is listed in the materials section (if your transmap isn't applied the object will simply disappear)

I remember this happening to me. If I remember correctly I cured it by:-
I forget the "why's?" if I ever found them out but it fixed it for me.
Also double check that you have an honest to goodness object not a carry over Rhino nurbs model.

Yup...I think that is what i did....I needed to convert it from a nurbs to a mesh object first. (Hopeing this was the problem.)
