I am confused. on a bump map , is it white croma = raised bump and black croma = depressed ? lighting is playing havoc on me and thus my confusion. and in a trans map the white croma = that which becomes transparent right ?! Many thanks in advance!

Re: bump maps - it doesn't matter because the "slider" allows for -100% to +100%, so you can adjust the "bumps" up or down without changing your .bum (;=]).

Re: trans maps - WHITE areas WILL allow tex to SHOW
BLACK are masked (WILL NOT SHOW)

Hint: if you have ANY "highlight" (< 0%) on a transmapped item, the item WILL NOT be totally masked. That is, the highlighted area will still show up when rendered.
