Hi folks, I was wondering : what screen resolution do you use when you work in Carrara or RDS ? And what is the size of your screen ? Do you find there are some problems related to this, like icons taking too much room, or vertices difficult to select ? I know, i know, i'm curious ;) For me, i work on a 19 inches flat screen in 1280x960 . Quite happy with it :) litst

Ditto 19" at 1280x960 "...or vertices difficult to select ?" Not since the patch.

Funny thing is, on my 21" at home 1280x960 is comfy and 1600x1200 feels too small. However on my 15" laptop the native resolution is 1600x1200 so I have to run it that way, but for some reason 1600x1200 feels comfy there. 17" 1024X768 but if I had a 19" or larger, I'd be in 1280X1024. I feel a tiny bit cramped but I've learned how to use my space efficiently by moving my tools around to where I want them.

14", 1024 X 768. RDS. It's my laptop's native resolution. I've become so used to dragging windows around the screen, it's not a pain at all. I'd like a little more room -- like a second monitor to have all my pallettes and the timeline on, but I can manage on this.

Home: 15" LCD is @ 1024 x 768, CRT (2nd monitor) is same, 1024 x 768. Too bad Carrara dosn't support two monitors. Work: 19" CRT @ 1600 x 1200 for grahics work, 1280 x 960 for anythig else where I have to read alot of stuff.

On my desktop I am running at 1600 x 1200 and I still feel a little cramped for space. Especially when I am texturing.

At work I run @ 3200x1200 .. so willf2 Carrara does support 2 monitors quite nicely..I am using 2 monitors right now! U just have to enable it in the prefrences. At Home I have to run @ 1280x1024 ... stupid used triniton..I NEED MORE REZ!

At home a 19 set at 1152 x 870 and at work a 21 at 1152 x 870. I would prefer a less elaborate interface and more room, always need more room.

You should alter that image to say that you work with Carrara, not MAX. :) 1024x768 on a 15". I'm not proud, but it's not too bad, either.

1024x768 on a 21" monitor. Lightwave 7 does a nice job of giving most of the screen real estate over to modeling/layout (but the trade-off is the rather dreary interface). Things seem a little cramped in C4DXL7.
