Hi Everyone! Anyone know how to make a MAT pose for a new material you made in the material settings? Like on the above image, the "Rubber" Stockings and gloves? I wanted to make a free stuff item, but why DL a 2.2 Vicki 1 char when it could be a 15K mat pose for the material settings. Any help would be aprecitated. - Thanks! Gazzy!

Err that should have read 2.2 MB Vicki 1 char.

When you create new materials with the grouping tool you are actually embedding part of the OBJ file in the CR2. What that means is the file can't be redistributed. I think it would be difficult to add new materials using a MATpose, but someone may figure out how to do it. -Jeff

Woo! I am really glad you mentioned that. Plazio's Latexa (EveV4.. I think) has MAT poses that allow her to rip off her latex stocking / gloves. That is actually where I got the idea from. But, really I should put together a simple tutorial for other people who might want the same effect. Thanks, Gazy.

Instead of distributing any files that is.

You can use subdividing MAT poses. AFAIK, Anton came up with that idea. Basically thaey apply another texture on top of the one you're using, so it works for gloves, bodysuits, etc. It wouldn't work perfectly for the image you're showing, though, as you have to add the new material to the whole of a body part. Are you used to looking at Poser files in text format? They can be intimidating until you understand what you're reading, but if you are used to it, try searching freestuff for textures for Anton's Adventurers: they usually come with subdivinding MATS. Open the body suit MAT file in a text editor and look at what it does. You can probably edit that to suit your needs.

You're welcome :-)

If you have a late version of CR2Edit, it will create subdividing MAT files automatically, with or without external obj references. Dan http://www.zenwareonline.com for CR2Edit, ZenPaint, ZenTile, VueMaster and the complete line of Zenware graphics apps
