I've seen software to create and edit these (.prm's) but I did'nt bookmark them. I want to create Re-volt models but I need the software to do this. Thanks

Without having to buy 3DS max that is....even though I want it,I have GMAX but can't figure out the export functions. Got a tutoral but I'm not even sure if exports in these formats. Sorry about the double posts. Thanks.

Let me sum up gmax's export functions for you: It doesn't have any.

No, seriously, it saves to a proprietary format only used by gmax, and you can add an export plugin for Quake 3. But that's it right now. Re-volt isn't supported. Discreet charges the game developers so much to add gmax support, that few companies have jumped on the bandwagon. I think Microsoft will have a tie-in with Flight Simulator 2002.

Re-Volt ships with a track editor, but there is no official car editor. The 3DS Max plugin is probably the best way to create new cars for the game. But you might want to look at ZModeler, a program designed specifically for racing game modelling, which seems to support Re-Volt and the .prm format.

When you're finished modelling your car, and are ready to start texturing, LithUnwrap will probably prove useful. It's a UV-mapping tool, similar to Steve Cox's UVMapper, but it supports many file formats, including .prm.
