Hi All Sometimes when I download a zip file of goodies for Poser, the creator already has the Path listed so I can just zip into my Poser directory. However, there are times when the Path reads DooDotRuntimeLibariesetc....well, if I unzipped this way, another runtime directory would be created under a folder called Doodot. Shouldn't there just be one runtime folder. I know where to put the files if I don't follow the creators path. What do I do? Unzip as creator has the folders set up even if it creates another runtime folder or unzip to follow the Poser heirarchy!!! Thanks V

I always play it safe from the start, and organize things my own way. 1.) I download all my files into a download folder. 2.) I create a folder for catgories such as props, etc. 3.) Each item gets a folder for the zip file. 4.) I create "undone" folder where I unzip each file 5.) I look at the readme file, and the folder structure of the download. 6.) I install from there. (drag and drop, or copy). That's the way that works best for me. Not every artist puts their work in the appropriate folders. Not every artist does everything the same way. We can thank them for their creations, and take care of organizing ourselves.

Try PInstall. It will do the work for you!
PInstall is a standalone application which allows you to install poser library objects (characters, poses, textures, etc) without needing to figure out which files go in which Poser subdirectory--PInstall does it for you. You don't even have to unzip library files stored in zip archives. Also, you can use PInstall to unzip and install a variable number of archives automatically!
