Hi all I was sitting here reading the forums and an old thought came to me about readme files. Many, many years ago, before the internet, when BBS's and long distance charges where all we had. I came across a program that would extract 'file idz.txt' from a group of zip files. If any of the really smart programers here had the time and ambition it would be GREAT and probably not hard to make a program that would extract 'Readme.txt' files from a group of zip's. Just an Idea. Thanks for hearing me out :) Measure twice cut once.

I've always wondered about the philosophy of putting the "readme.txt" file INSIDE the .zip file that tells you how to unzip the files. ;=] Can anyone out here 'splain that to me? cheers, dr geep ;=]

Remember ... "With Poser, all things are possible, and poseable!"

cheers,

dr geep ... :o]

Where else would you put it? Seriously, you don't have to unzip the whole thing to get at the readme: that's the logic behind it. Open the zip file, double click on the readme.txt and you can read all the details from there. But you probably know that already. :-)
