I read some place that the P4guy was, in the adult mode, supposed to be 6 foot even. That would make the P4girl probably 5-9.

mi-scha posted Sat, 26 January 2002 at 1:38 PM

Well, on my monitor they are about a hand span.

thgeisel posted Sat, 26 January 2002 at 1:46 PM

On my monitor the are smaller than a handspan or maybe my hands are bigger :-(( Think Ill go over to the poser top 20! Its so funny to see the images that made it during the last days :-))

chohole posted Sat, 26 January 2002 at 1:54 PM

Dork is about 600 pixels, so that makes posette about oh maybe 580. And I agree the top 20 is super at the moment. I want a mpp teeshirt.

I agree with VirtualSite.

Legume is selling Magic Pink Pony t-shirts, chohole. Check it out.

Just to be contrary, I'll say that the P4 Male is 5'11". Although when I export him to my 3D modelling app, he's about two inches tall.

Penguinisto posted Sat, 26 January 2002 at 3:07 PM

I could cheat and import 'em into my 3D modeller (AC3D) again(unlike 3DS Max, the import as their exact height)... :) IIRC, the P4 Guy was just shy of two metres (roughly 190-195cm) tall the last time I had him imported into AC3D. That would put Posette at around 185-190cm tall. Do I win, Do I win? (heh.) /P

Jim Burton posted Sat, 26 January 2002 at 3:36 PM

I take Vickie to be 6', so I'd say the Posette is about 5 foot 2 (eys of blue ...), the Dork about 5' 8" They aren't really a fixed height, incidently, them are "by convention" inches!

Anzan posted Sat, 26 January 2002 at 3:36 PM

Um.... 5'10 for p4 dork... 5'7 for Possette

jaybutton posted Sat, 26 January 2002 at 4:21 PM

My guess is that the P4 guy is 6 feet tall and that the P4 fem is 5 feet, eight inches tall. Jay

Pinto posted Sat, 26 January 2002 at 4:58 PM

Dork is five foot eleven and posette is five foot 7 and one half inches. Pinto

Ok Doc, but how was this scale created?

geep posted Mon, 28 January 2002 at 7:18 AM

... to SCALE using the "mesh modeler" in Carrara. (using actual scale feet and inches) When objects are created in Carrara and imported into Poser at full scale (no percent of figure height checked) and then have their "Scale" set to 1.05%, the imported prop is the correct size for Poser. If you'd like the "poser ready" prop, just drop me a line and I'll send you one. It's only $10. Just kidding. It's FREE. cheers, (and happy measuring) dr geep ;=]

Ok it was that .05% that threw me I guess. I thought I was dead on. .001 = 1 Poser inch. I thought I read that somewhere.

geep posted Mon, 28 January 2002 at 4:52 PM

like this: ...... (on the Poser dials) ************************************** Poser = linear measure ===== = ============== 0.0105 = 1 inch 0.126 = 1 foot = 12 inches 0.378 = 1 yard = 3 feet 2.079 = 1 rod = 5 1/2 yards 83.16 = 1 furlong = 40 rods (1/8 mile) 665.28 = 1 mile = 8 furlongs ************************************** Now I don't know what you do with that information, but in case ya ever needs it, here it is. cheers, dr geep ........... the measurin' man! ;=]
