I have not been able to obtain any of the many downloads by Vethril for months. A message to Vethril remains unanswered. Do attempts at downloads count in the downloads number posted even if they are unsuccessful?

Yes, they do. The Downloads tally appears to track only the number of times the link is clicked, not the actual downloads.

You can go to this page to see what was available from Veth. As it seems all the links to the zips are dead. Not much help but maybe you can bookmark this page and have more success if the links are updated.
