As many of you may have discovered , a poser figure imported into cinema VIA the propack cannot have objects parented to him such as camera/light targets and other props.some of you may have found your own solution for this
but i would like to pass on a workable solution I have discoverd.
As you know cinema imports BVH motion files and converts them to a set of animated Bones.
these animated bones by default dont render BUT you can parent objects to them
by normal drag and drop in the objects manager
So if you create your character animation in poser and export the BVH motion from your animation first.
open Cinema and import that BVH and you get the animated bones from your poser character.
Now import that SAME poser scene via the propack plugin for cinema
Switch to bounding box mode for easier Screen redraw
now move the animated bones into place inside the poser figure
and match the orientation of the poser figure
( You will have to scale the bones to match the size of the poser figure using the scale tool ) .
As the poser figure moves his bones move within him
Now you can attach camera targets, particle emitters , lights etc. to the Bones
and they will appear to be attached to the poser character as he/she moves.
Here is a small animation Clip (900k) mpeg
of the poser robot with a headlight similar to the ones in Final Fantasy
Note how the light moves and turns with his head and the shakey "hand held"
look of the camera that is parented Bones.
have fun!!
