Huah, I finally got back from that hellish businesstrip. In saturday evening, it stopped snowing, planes could fly again and I got home. In coldest night, there was -35 degrees. And yes, like I wrote before, I made snow angel, NEKKID snow angel. Took only few pics there, cause damned digicam batteries didn't work. Dont know did that extreme coldness broke those batteries or what. .n

Very nice, looks like home. grin And cold temperatures will drain batteries very quickly.. it increases the electron flow (among other things). - darkpen

But where is the snow-angel? I hope you sat in the sauna before you threw yourself in the white coldness.

Darkpen, I know, but those batteries died after few pics without flash, I charged, and again, same thing. Those damned "intelligent" infolithium batteries are one pain in the ass. Gonna return this fella to manufacturer. Gun & Misha, you bet. Jordy, you wish I would had nekkid snowangel pic. But hon, dream on and move on!!!11 ;oP Punkister, Grrrrrr. I was wearing boxer shorts, but just edited those away afterwards. explanations, explanations .n

chuckle Probably a good bet. There may be a microfracture in the cell itself ('course, it might have been caused by the temperature, but still). Usually what happens, is the batteries drain very very quickly (a battery that lasts 10 hours only holds its charge for about 2 hours at -10C, much less in colder temperatures), but after they warm up they get their strength back. Lithium batteries are especially vulnerable to this, because lithium cells relies heavily on heat to function. So for winter shooting, you're usually much better off with cheap, alkaline batteries, which hold their charge a little longer in the cold. - darkpen

Darkpen, yep, know that too. I would use alkaline batteries, but my fancy Sony can only use those damn infolithium batteries. .n
