Do you paint your terrains in photoshop? I mean the greyscales to import into the terrain editor of Bryce.

Yeah, I did all these terrains in Photoshop. they are not extremely detailed though (don't truly need to be), and at the max maybe 5 different levels of grey to make an image/terrain. Just a little overall to help the "sell" the terrain and it's texture. In fact, the textures for those gratings that run along the floor and walls...are available as a free download from "Textures To The Max" website. The .zip includes diffusion, bump, mask(a.k.a. transparency), & reflection image maps. Worthy download, the link is above. I then just made the greyscale from painting over the diffusion map, and stuck it all together in Bryce. Btw, you don't always need Photoshop, when I first started, I made greyscales in the (free) "Paint" program that comes with Windows, then just blurred them out in the Bryce terrain editor, just fyi. Hmmm. Very interesting. Could you post a screenshot of one of you ps grayscalws that you used int the terrain editor so that we can get an idea of how you accomplished it? It would educate us(me) and I think it would nice to see how bryce turns grayscale into height. Thanks
