Hey, when did Bryce version 4 first come out? I remember seeing it on the shelves(a couple?)years before I had a clue about anything 3D and Poser, my first 3D program, which I probably had a year before I got Bryce 4. Just curious as to how long v4.0 has been around...how long it was between v4.0 and v5.0, etc. Agent Smith

I got into Bryce at version 4, in the summer of 1999, they claimed it was the newest and greatest thing since Bryce 3D.

Now that's why for us Aussies doing graphics all day is so good for us, keeps us from going outside in the middle of the day and frying ourselves to death!!!

Well, I actually started looking through my Bryce stuff(a chewed-on box, faded manual, & CD)...and the earliest date I can find anywhere in my (yes, Metacreations) Bryce 4.0, is on the actual CD in a readme file for Adobe Acrobat Reader 3. The readme states it was updated on June 10th, 1997. It also gives known issues that it has with Internet Explorer 3.0 and Windows 3.1...jeez. That's a little closer to finding out when it First came out. Agent Smith

`Course who knows how long Adobe Acrobat Reader verison 3 was out before it was put onto the CD...other than Acrobat, I got a creation date for the .pdf version of the Bryce manual off my CD at March 8th 1999.

I do remember that there was not a very long period between Bryce 3D coming out and Bryce 4 hitting the shelves son after. Or I seem to recall that anyway.
