Just my 0.02, but... get a grip, huh? From what Ive heard, theres been talk about closing down C&D for quite some time. Insofar as any screeches about "censorship", there are plenty of places around here to vent, so feel free to do so. Yes, I think they erred in deleting the picture, but, as PJF has pointed out, this is their site and they can do with it as they like, and we should respect that. Closing C&D is not the end times as we know it, nor is it the end of Renderosity. But because a few whiners think theyre so bloody important that they cannot live without expressing their oh-so-meaningful opinions on a C&D board, weve had a few lift their skirts and skip outa here. Sorry, but good riddance. C&D is not what I came to this place, and while Ill miss it, its not something thats so terribly important to the experience here. So get over it and move on, okay? Thank you. =)

Unfortunately, not a lot of people know about Renderotica anymore. We aren't allowed to advertise other forum sites, and so, really, any mention of other sites could be seen as an advertisement. That's too bad too, because Renderotica being geared toward a different type of audience than Renderosity, doesn't really make it competition. Each offers a completely different atmosphere. One being general audience (which is why I don't mention the name of Renderotica's sister site, as it is a general audience site), and the other being an adults only site.

You got a problem with the admins, then take it up with the admins. In case you have no idea, I'm one of those moderators, and I never have "moderated with an iron fist". Equally, if you hadn't noticed, above I said it was the posting of LINKS which is not allowed, and there is in fact plenty of discussion regarding other sites which has gone on here, and continues, as well.

Additionally, the policy of not posting links ONLY refers to sites with what is generally considred to be adult content.

Talk about whatever sites you want. Just no linking to sites or material that break out TOS or image posting guidelines. Renderotica was split off from Renderosity about two years ago as a site to host adult material. There is currently no relationship between the two sites. Thank you for clearing that up MikeJ. The wording of the TOS in that matter leaves a bit to the imagination of how rigid or loose it can be interpreted. I have to agree with Bloodsong. This site really doesn't need an adult section. There are plenty of images that could be considered adult in content, that still fall within the TOS of this site (and some really push the limits in suggestiveness). Anything harder should be a seperate site, which is exactly what Renderotica offers. Don't think though, that just because it is an adult site, that there aren't any rules, or that the mods won't step in if things get out of hand. I can't see that we'd ever go so far as to completely shut down a forum though. That's going too far IMO.

Will be nice to check out renderotica again. Given my present work connection its even risky using it for this type of site with the nudity (though they shut me down for game sites but left me access to these graphics sites under the 'professional development theme'). 2 more weeks and ill no longer be at the north pole, then the internet is wide open again. Well time to get serious again, i guess breaking out laughing in the c&d forum was strictly prohibited. Will have to try not to smile when on renderosity in the future.

Renderosity will not host adult material or create an adult gallery<< You already do. It's called the Poser gallery. A good portion of that is not suitable for viewing by minors, you state that going in, and if that isn't the definition of an adult or mature audience I don't know what is. The TOS has recently been updated with more stringent standards.

Kate - the Poser gallery may feature some 'R' rated stuff but if you think it compares to Renderotica than do yourself a favor and check out 'rotica. You'll be pleasantly surprised - or shocked, it depends on how you feel about such things :)

Oh I've been to 'rotica. But even so, an R rating is for adults - nobody under 17 admitted. And last time I checked, legal age for adult was 18. Sooooo...if it's an R it's for adults. Either way, no skin off my nose. Ain't no kids in my house these days. I was just pointing out a particular point of view.

Kate - I know what you mean. I still think kids know a hell of lot more about anything we're trying to protect them from! When you think of all the influences along those lines from the traditional media and compare that to twenty or thirty years ago when I was a kid (Christ, am I that old?!).
