Subject: Did I promise to send you something?

and never did? Chalk it to my having fluff for brains or the brilliant IT guys at my place of work for setting up the Email That Ate Manhattan. Seems that every other outgoing email message was being delivered to the ether. (some complicated foolhardiness involving NT and Outlook and the worst firewall in the known world. Don't ask.) So I may have sent myself a reminder to send you something and never got it. So here's your chance! Tell me what I said I'd send - and this time I'm writing it down, darn it! Lyrra

Didn't you promise to send me $1 million dollars, in small unmarked bills. Now hurry up and SEND IT ALREADY! I gotta have the down payment for that yacht by Wednesday! (tee hee hee... okay, I'm just kidding, obviously.) /P

Heh heh... man.... You handle all this remarkebly well. :chuckles: Anything goes wrong with my comp and system I get crimson rage... and it's the only time too.. nothing else bothers me. I'll be setting up a server soon.. I'm not sure what will be going on with the bandwidth yet but if we have extra maybe I can host some of your stuff for you. Anyway.. :Grins: That tiger mike tex.... hee hee anzan@aol.com Anz

Well its the idiots at work - man - the worst IT guys I've ever dealt with. sigh At this point I stand over them and tell them what to do when they work at my terminal. And I'm a graphics weenie! But the whole NT things is a BAAAAD idea - couldn't they just use a real OS, like unix? Something that doesn't crash at irregular intervals? Graphics programs are unstable enough without adding schizoid windows NT issues to the mix. Textures in the mail anzan - be warned - its 4 megs. Keep the bump turned down low, at full strength its too harsh. Hey - I was rushing. Lyrra

Doh! Maybe it was $500,000... I forget sometimes :) Heh - I take it they use Exchange for their mail server? You might also want to remind them to stop applying NT Service Packs at 4 ...6 and 6a (made to fix a HUGE TCP/IP problem in 6) basically suck. (Unfortunately, when it comes to commercial-strength *ix graphics programs, you've got a whopping choice of either Maya... or, umm, Maya. Heh.) /P

Heh.. Lightwave 7 is looking pretty spiffy. Thanks Lyrra! :grins: Yeah... we're trying to decide between a unix or a linux server right now. I think we've installed about 20 OS's back and forth.... never even considered NT heh... Anz

If anyone deserves to be sent money right now its me! :) And yes Blood - I'll get the bloody wookie done someday. Pshop has been acting flaky on me - but I think I fixed the silly thing.

Oops - forgot about lightwave. I'm just happy I got AC3D in Linux... (I might get off my butt and learn Blender, but not just yet :) /P
