I've just got the free version of Poser 3 that is included on the Computer Arts magazine. When I try to import the .pz3 it reports unable to read file. I've looked through some of the other messages and tried some of the suggestions (renaming Poser.exe to Poser.exe, installing Poser first then Vue) but no luck. Am I missing something, or, does Vue 4 only import from Poser 4? It asks you to locate the Poser4 exe file. Any help would be appreciated..

Hi William, Yes, that's right, and I just found this out last week. Only Poser 4 PZ3 files will import into Vue. Sorry about that. :(

Thanks for the quick reply Mike. Now I just need to decide if I want to upgrade to Poser 4 (there's a special offer with the magazine to get 100 off Poser4)

I would highly recommend it, really. Poser 4 has alot new, and the best products, both free and otherwise can't be used in Poser 3. Of course, that PZ3 import in Vue is pretty cool too. :)

heyas; you can always use the old obj (or 3ds) export/import method with poser 3.
