I was just thinking... I host a site for folks who want to upload Free Stuff items (non-commercial or GPL licensed stuff only.) I find that perhaps there should be a way for artists who need space and hosts who are willing to carry that space to come together. In Poser alone there's aat least three folks that I know of willing to do this, but perhaps a site-wide list can be brought up so that artists can simply look up a site that suits their needs, instead of asking around in the forums and hoping someone connects with 'em. If you do host a free site - would you be kind enough to send an email to tjmiller@datc.tec.ut.us with the following info so I can compile a list? Size limit (In MB/GB) Is that limit flexible? (yes/no) Total site/individual bandwidth restrictions (if any, in GB per month.) Banner ads? (yes/no) Pop-ups? (yes/no) Hot-links allowed? (yes/no) Licensing restrictions? (non-commercial only, GPL/open source only, none) How to upload? (FTP/e-mail/Other) Source of site equipment/bandwidth (Privately hosted, company-hosted, publicly hosted) Content restrictions (files+thumbs only, files + thumbs+artwork, files+artwork+HTML pages?) Nudity allowed? (yes/no/artistic only) File types accepted (All/Bryce/Poser/3DS/etc. -only?) That should give up a good listing for folks... I'd appreciate if all free Renderosity hosting sites would mail me a copy of this list and their answers so that I can compile a database of sorts.
