Holy Smokes! Did you read the license? If you want to use (1)one texture in a commercial image you have to pay $35.00 per month for the rest of your life. (If you do not continue to pay you lose usage rights to that one texture.) And for that $35.00 per month you can't use any of her props in that image. Wow! Pinto
rwilliams posted Wed, 06 February 2002 at 7:13 PM
You have to be joking! I didn't go to read that, but are you sure? I shouldn't doubt it I guess. I think her prescription had run out about the time she quit coming here.
Pinto posted Thu, 07 February 2002 at 10:06 AM
Well, it appears there is one more commercial rate. It offers a $200.00 sign up fee and $600.00 per month there after. Yep, you read it right, $600.00 a month. Pinto

Pinto, it is not funny what you wrote and sure not true, don't tell nonsense here. The license is $150 for all stuff that I created and will create in the rest of my life and sure you can use all in your commercial images, only the free stuff not. 2. $75 is the price for a professional people that use all my textures to create own textures and later sell it self. 3. This license is for company that will use textures for commercial work. You know what cost 2 commercials website and 5 people per month, I think not other you don't tell some nonsense things here. Go to DAZ or other store and you will see what you get for $35. If you can't read then ask first before you write stupid things here, it make you bad not me, all can check self the truth. and yes you made me mad if you like to know.Pinto posted Sun, 10 February 2002 at 2:26 PM
Dear Catharina, This is a very sad thing. Why didnt you just say Opps, I ment COMMERCIAL instead of NON-COMMERCIAL instead of joining this thread and attacking me while lying about what your license said when I created the post. Now youve changed the license, attacked me and lied. Do you think no one else has read, or has a copy of your web page? I was all set to dispute your post which was directly opposite of what the license on your site said. Then I thought I better have another look and I see that you changed it from non-commercial to commercial. (By the way, in your haste to change it you misspelled artistic as asartistik, you should have left that alone.) Im sorry for you Catharina, I had no intention of being funny or unkind to you. You are a wonderful talent. I just thought it was very expensive for non-commercial use. You could have handled this so differently. Now you have shown your lack of integrity how could someone believe the rest of your license? You can just change it at will. If this was an error on your site you should have thanked me for pointing it out. If I were wrong I would be the first to admit it. I think you owe me a public apology. I sure there are many ways to check the validity of this. For anyone interested, the following is Catharinas web page saved as a text file on February 7, 2002. What you Get? Pinto, I don't wrote the License on the web page, it was one of my employer and it was mistake with the License, one of customer wrote about to me 2 days ago and I chabe this before I saw your post here. Look above for your post what you wrote: If you want to use (1)one texture in a commercial image you have to pay $35.00 per month for the rest of your life. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? where you read that? I don't see anything in your copy. use our textures in commercial products , don't mean in your images and all know that. If you think that $150 is to much then you are wrong, in the area is all ready more stuff that for $150, if I sell it all separate it will cost 2x more. I don't know what was your intention to wrote about, make me black in other eyes, or you don't understand what you read. In the Blue area is more that 100 new members that sign up and all are glad what they got and what they will get in the future. You pay for your license then I can't change this, but well I can change this in the future for new users before they sign up. Your post was not seriouse in style how you wrote that my dear, that why I was mad about you. Is sounds funny. Cath

P.S I don;t thing that here is the best place to wrote answer and questions about my license, if you have any questions you can write on my web site that was created for that. Thanks Cath
Pinto posted Mon, 11 February 2002 at 10:44 AM
Dear Catharina, where you read that? I don't see anything in your copy. Here is exactly where I got it. The following terms of your license: Further, your right to use our textures in commercial products exists only while a valid Professional License is in effect and expires when the License expires. You cannot use our textures in any commercial products without having a current and valid Professional License. Catharina, here is the problem: I pay $35.00 and use one (1) of your textures in an image that goes on a poster or an advertisement or any other product I create. I sell that poster or use that ad and it is a commercial product in every sense of the word. According to your very explicit license contract, I can not sell that product the following month without paying you another $35.00 to maintain my Professional License. And the next month, and the next month, and for as long as I offer my product for sale. use our textures in commercial products , don't mean in your images and all know that. No I dont know that, and everybody else better not know that. Because an attorney or judge would not know that. A commercial product is something that is offered for sale. The way this contract is written, you have complete control. You have done a lot of work in wording your contact to insure that you are protected. But you expect your customers to assumed that some products are excluded? There are no assumptions in contract laws. If you want to exclude commercial images from your restrictions then you need to specify that in your contract. Otherwise they are covered by the restriction. I thought your license was quite well worded to insure that you protected your products and that people would have to subscribe continually. I was just surprised. If you can get get people to go for it more power to you. I was not concerned at all about the $150.00 fee, except it was explicitly restricted to non-commercial. I had every intention of subscribing for your wonderful textures until I saw the pricing combined with the restrictive license terms. I wish you much success. Regards Pinto

Pinto, you like me well smart, and I told you that long time nobody have any problems and people if don't know they ask me, the problem why I wrote my answer here was not about license but about how you wrote about here, please don't talk now about something that have not sense on to talk about here, you have my e-mail and my website, if you think you can make me bad advertising here then you are wrong, if people like to buy a subscription then they buy, this like me here not for a question my dear, and btw how are you if I can ask? under cover? I don't see anything that you put in the galleries or other files, then I don't know if you are true member or only a bad person that walk around to make bad advertising and win for self or other. I will not answer any messages here and if you don't let me then I contact all ready the Renderosity direction about, here at renderosity nothing have with my website or my license, it is place for art and not discussion with me what is true or not. I don't know what the hell is here at renderosity the latest time, first all attack Syyd Raven for something and try to make she bad in the members eyes now me, is that maybe jalousie? I com here not for Babel box but to see art of people then please end with this nonsense. Success P.S my e-mails : sales@mecom4d.com for the future questions

Pinto, There seems to be a misunderstanding. Catherina has told you that its only $150 for life, not $600 a month. Perhaps you are looking at the wrong liscense. Why not leave it at that and if you have additional questions e-mail Catherina directly? Just trying to help, Jay

Catharina, I wish you nothing but success. I simply pointed out a problem with restrictions on your license. You started the rest of this thread. I will not respond further. Regards Pinto
