If youd like to see how its possible to incorporate a virtual character actually into your web page, visit the link. A small player plugin is required, and should be obtained by auto request with the content. www.senshutek.com/dev/general.html

Hi Phil... Visualisation is handled by the Biovirtual plugin (right click in the player window for info). Speech synthesis and AI (which is not in this demo) supported by other partners.

Sounds too robotic, though I like the idea. Sounds like they are using the microsoft voice engine. Also they need more body movement. Marque

There's a possibilty with MS Agent ActiveX - the Ms office assistant. This Ms agent V2 (starting from Ms Office 2k and W2k) can be included in a web page. There's a demo at microsoft msdn. The technology is free but you have to make your own animation - with Poser ;)) Yarp

This is pretty cool..IMHO I would really like to see more of this and if it's possible to use a full character not just a head. yarp this is way past what MSAgent can do right now. I created an agent about 3 years ago. If it hadn't been for wanting to create my own agent character I may never have found Poser. Microsoft hasn't upgraded from Agent 2.0, which was the standard when I created the agent character, and as of now I don't think they ever will. The voice is better than the standard Microsoft or L&H voices IMO Ed

I just discovered the MSAgent 2.0 capabilities 6 months ago. With or without MS Speech API. It's a fact the MS Agent as severall drawbacks among which the files are huge and I'm nearly sure the web technology will only be suitable to IE. We add the same experience on opposite way : you discovered Poser thank to MS Agent, I wanted to play with Agent thank to Poser ;)) I missed the train, I went to see the plugin demo. No way, it's better than MS Agent.

The technology is specific to IE only at this time. Too bad. It looks pretty cool!

There is another assistant technology at the link above. It has worked with Netscape in the past.
