Everyone please checkout this website to see if your artwork have been ripped off. I know they took one of my White images and had to hack off half of it to use it. Neal http://www.expresswaynet.com/3d/200103/ http://www.gufengart.com/index.htm

But, thanks for the "heads-up," Neil. It has been said, "He who steals my art, steals trash." ;=] That does not apply to the other true artists at this site.

I recognize most of the images from here, too. I just can't put them together with the artist name. On mine, he left my sig and added his own.

Well, at least your work is here where most people will come and they will see who the artist really is. I doubt this guy will get many people to visit his site of stolen goods since the poser forums are very closely connected and people have access to the true artists gallerys. As for shutting this person down contact his website provider ad file an official complaint with them, The may have a terms of service provision about stealing copyright materials. Include in the e mail to his service provider the website of your work and a letter from renderosity vouching that you are indeed a member here and that your work has been witnessed as being yours.

Seems to me they are Chinese sites for "porn", looking at the kind of images they show. I know that normal porn showing genetiles is heavily sanctioned overthere. Maxx

His "logo", at the bottom of the page, is "borrowed" from Michael Manwaring, a grpahic artist in San Francisco. I dont think Michael will think much of someone trying to steal his work and copyright it as well. This should be very interesting to watch.

I ran this through Alta Vista's translator. In part:
"The sound is bright! The home station surely locates the artistic connoisseurship, because center the western history background Japanese origin difference, in some works the west becomes accustomed to the performance object and the processing technique, we possibly relative with difficulty accept. Is is, must must, says the knowledge; Must be, the right and wrong, says simplemindedly, " is not clean " place pinches the nose but. Raises the eye is also good, dazzling, needs the broad workers and peasants military science discusses comrades Italy guards against like the city, does not self-alert the chronic illness, looks your how mental perception does raise abandons.
Home station all works originate from the network or the scanning tradition publication, work all rights turn over to the author personally to possess"
I think the last sentence is his version of 'copyright acknowledgement.' However, later, he has: "Copyright (c) 2000-2001, gufengcArt Studio, All Artwork & Design rights reserved"
His concept of Copyright is obviously flexible. Perhaps a letter to the comrade and some re-education would be in order. I'm sure he doesn't want to be viewed as a running dog capitalist who feeds on the hard work of the proletariat.

Note to anyone trying these links - in my browser (IE6) I found several windows opened (popups, popunders, and one wierd one that was 99% off-screen) spontaneously filled with what looked like links to asian porn sites. Annoying. I didn't wait to see if they had scripts capable of anything worse, so I shut IE down & flushed my cache before coming back here. Just a headsupp.

Then why did he take off my signature and info? :) I'm sure he had a real good reason...

A simple browser is a good thing to have when visiting sites like these - OffByOne for instance. This doesn't understand Javascript, and won't open other windows or take you anywhere else. Also, because it's so stripped down compared to Bloat Explorer version 3987.14, it seems to work a lot quicker.Impudicus Rex posted Fri, 08 February 2002 at 8:29 AM
"Home station all works originate from the network or the scanning tradition publication, work all rights turn over to the author personally to possess" Means that he has aquired the rights. This we know to be a lie. The sad truth is that there is very little that can be done about this. Some asian countries have no copyright law whatsoever. They have no provisions for it, and will not even acknowledge the concept of copyright. Sad, but true.

ok, but why does he put his own logo on the images then...? smile
Neal posted Fri, 08 February 2002 at 3:36 PM
yes and why did he cut my name off of my image then?
Hiram posted Fri, 08 February 2002 at 4:11 PM
Because he really IS violating copyrights. I merely aided in the translation of his bulls***. I'm NOT siding with him. If my work were on there I'd be contacting him and requesting that he immediately remove my images. Sorry I didn't make my intentions clearer.
