This was posted in the Poser forum but I notice it wasnt posted here. Some of the work i have seen in the galleries here or at 3DCommune. Its a foreign site, maybe Chinese and very slow to load, but your images might be in here being given away as desktops without your permission. Check it out!!

Uh, yeah...DMA & Voodoo's stuff is right on the front page, and at least one other, but I don't know the artists name. Does DMA & Voodoo (or any others) know about this? Did they give the site permission?

I really dont know, AgentSmith. It was posted by someone else in the Poser forum. I went there to check it out and realized many of the pics i see there I had seen in the galleries here and at 3DCommune. If you know those people you mentioned you might want to give them a heads up :)

I e-mailed a few of the artists that I knew off the top of my head, but there are a LOT of artists work there that I have originally seen before. I have a cable modem, so I could check out their whole site fairly quickly. I looked at it with the Chinese character (font) installed and also through a language translator (that was a trip). The site doesn't seem to be taking credit for the work, but it doesn't look like that are GIVING credit either. They seem to be passing themselves off as a desktop wallpaper site, they even had some of Steve Stahlberg's stuff there. Not sure if there is anything anyone could do about this since they are a foreign site. Above is what part of the front page looks like through the translator. Agent Smith

If you click on the thumbnails and look at the larger pics, check out the bottom left or right corners. I saw their logos stamped there.

Oh, yes! I forgot to mention that. That Chinese website stamps its own little logo on everyone's artwork, that part is definitely a load of b.s. This is what it looks like, cropped out of Voodoo's "Morning Swim", seen above (Girl in the water with a moon tattoo on her belly). Agent Smith

If anybody checking this out has some friends that can read chinese or japanese, I would suggest getting them to take a look. The problem with internet language translators (or the ones that you may or may not have on your computer) is that they only read the basic context of the letters. They don't give the meaning behind the words. A human can do that, a computer can't... yet.

Yeah, the adopted phrase for software language translation is "Gisting", as in getting the gist of somehing. Some software companies will use this technique when taking their english language software into a foreign market, cheaper than a human I guess, but the outcome has got to be horrible. No way does it truly translate like a human...not yet anyways...
