vue 4.03 okay, i confess... my scene is rather huge. besides all the mountains and trees (which there aren't really a lot of) and bushes, i have 3 michael2's (without head morphs, thank goodness) with 3 mcfs's, one with a sweater and one with a cape, with wedge cut hair, sweep hair, and kozaburo's wonderful wave hair, and assorted props. and then an exp hawk with props (four imported pz3's). some special effects and a lightning bolt. no volumetrics or anything, though, just some glow. now i'm trying to add the rest of my props, about 7 files. i put them all in and saved, and vue screwt the save. i put them back in and... crashed. three times. so i put one in and saved. put another in and saved. put three more in and crashed. okay, so i loaded those three by themselves and saved as a vob and imported. finally got EVERYTHING into the file, everything in place, and everything SAVED. now i go to render. well, forget that. i try to render to disk. the pre-inserted file name is ff|tiff|tiff|tiff.tiff|tiff|tiff. no lie. i hit browse, i cannot browse. i delete the ff|tiff nonsense and hit browse, i cannot browse. okay, so i try to render to screen. at 1600x. well, smeggin norton pops up a blue screen and says i'm running low on system memory, and the norton auto protect might not work. like i care??? reboot. turn norton off. try again. same thing. what, i gotta render in safe mode, here?? i cant ditch this norton crap!! ARGH! so i figure i'll outflank norton, i set my screen size to 1600x1200 and render to screen. if vue doesn't try to access screen memory beyond the display, maybe i'll be okay. norton is not fooled. okay, so i'll try to batch render the blasted thing, in the background. i end EVERY smeggin task going on (okay, not systray), and i start up the batch thing. input my file, how big i want it, ultra mode, blah blah blah. what disk file i want it to (and it has to be bmp). i hit start. vue loads up (oh NO!) it loads the scene (i'm DOOMED), it starts to.... crash. reboot. load vue, hey, there's an abnormally terminated render here, you want it? no. load my scene. 'delete this scene outta this directory, its fubar.' whaddya mean it's fubar!?!?! that's the ONE where i had everything DONE and SAFELY SAVED!!!!! vue (#$&^($&^($*&ed it up!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! ::sob sob sob:: mercury is stationary now. that's bad, right? my entire computer seems to be trying to fall apart :/
