Above: Taken with an Agfa CL34 digital, no post work. "Bark'nFur" After inflicting my verbosity on you re: physiology of rods and cones in the eye, I thought a couple of images were in order!

I can't. I'm BLIND!!! I just couldn't resist. =:-) > Does anyone remember if cat's see in b/w and dogs do not or is it the other way around. Are you sure that is a real cat's paw? It looks so skinny! The second would look really neat in b/w I think. Bsteph

The cat's paw looks so skinny because we don't feed the little mongrel...(only joking) Here is a comparison side by side... :-)>

I love the bark texture in the first, I can really feel that. I think the colour in the second helps bring out & compliment the texture, maybe because the colour is quite subtle, definitely better than b&w (imho).

Yeah I agree. The texture comes out better in the B/W. For example the small square in the middle. One can really see how recessed it is in the B/W but it's not quite as apparent in the color one. But actually the color one looks better. Oh well. May be it would look better if the darkness was turned up a tad bit. Not sure about that though. Thanks for sharing. Brian Stephens

Meow! First soft texture we've seen. I like the blue one. Great job on all of these, PC. You can really smell and feel your texture work.

On these I definitely like the color version of the stone better. It really depends for me...that why I like to play, if it doesn't speak to me in B&W it stays colored. BTW dogs see in B&W.........not sure about cats though!

Both of these are very sharp, Cameron! Love the contrast of the soft white fur against the rough russet browns. And the blue stones are excellent; they look cold and hard. I heard that dogs see in color, but they're colorblind, i.e. they don't see the same colors "normal" sight sees. And cats...well, cats see whatever they want to! :)
